RoundPill reduces the downlight to a single disc of light. The luminous face sits exactly in the plane of the finished ceiling with no visible trim, flange or projection, so from below it reads as a perfectly uniform circle set into the gypsum rather than a fixture. Edge-lit construction spreads the light evenly across the whole circular face without hotspots, and the softly diffused surface is designed for visual comfort. The units are shallow, needing only 21 mm above a 16 mm (5/8 in) gypsum ceiling, with an overall illustrated assembly depth of 37 mm, which helps in tight plenums and slab-tight conditions. Installation is magnetic and trimless: a three-step process using Backlight's metal support and integrated magnets sets the luminous face flush with the finished surface and allows clean access for maintenance. The series comes in true 2, 3 and 4 inch diameters (50.8, 76.2 and 101.6 mm), so designers can scale the circles to the room while keeping the same borderless ceiling appearance. Static White is offered in 2700K or 3200K, from 4.6 W and 420 lm (2 in) to 9.0 W and 860 lm (4 in); Tunable White covers 1800–3200K, from 6.0 W and 570 lm to 12.0 W and 1090 lm. RGBW is available on request. CRI is above 90, and the units are rated IP54 and IK10, with CE, cULus Listed and JA8 marks shown in the manufacturer's brochure.
