FLUSH

Flush is Backlight's linear lighting bar: an ultra-thin, made-to-measure luminous strip that delivers an even, shadow-free line of light across its whole visible face. Custom-manufactured in Italy, it is intended for minimal interiors where a crisp line of light should read as part of the architecture rather than as a fixture. Bars are 20 mm thick and offered in ten standard widths from 15.24 mm to 203.2 mm, with custom widths on request, in lengths from 127 mm to 3048 mm. Longer runs are assembled from multiple pieces with clean seams, the ends can be mitred in 2D or 3D to form corners and geometric figures, and bespoke layouts are produced from CAD drawings. The magnetic mounting system makes Flush practical on site. Bars attach to a supplied iron plate for surface or recessed installation at a total depth of 22.5 mm, or to an omega channel plastered into drywall for a trimless finish in the 50.8, 76.2, 101.6 and 152.4 mm widths. Bars can also hang on steel cords or simply rest on an existing surface as an uplight, covering applications from ceilings, walls and floors to cabinetry, millwork and mirror surrounds. Two outputs are available: standard at 14 W/m delivering 980 lm/m, and high output at 28 W/m delivering 1960 lm/m, both with CRI above 95. Flush runs at 24V DC from remote Class 2 power supplies and dims via 0–10V, DALI, DMX, ELV/MLV and Lutron systems. Colour temperatures span 2000K to 5000K, with tunable white, dim-to-warm and RGB, and RGBW or RGBTW on request. The white RAL 9010 aluminium profile can be painted in any RAL colour, and the satin anti-reflective diffuser can be UV-printed with onyx and other textures or a custom image.
